Planning for college? We’re here to help! Join us for JCCC’s College Financing Night, a free event designed to help students and families explore ways to make college accessible and achievable.
Get one-on-one FAFSA assistance, explore scholarships and other funding options, discover how JCCC’s Early College programs can benefit you, and connect with admissions representatives from JCCC, K-State, KU, and UMKC.
Whether you plan to attend JCCC or another college or university, College Financing Night can help you take the next step toward your goals.
Doors open at 4:00 PM, event begins at 4:30 PM.
Registration encouraged, but walk-ins are welcome!

- Who should attend College Financing Night?
College Financing Night is for anyone planning for college—or helping someone else plan for college! High school students, current college students, parents and family members, adult students, and anyone considering going back to school are welcome. You do not have to plan to attend JCCC to participate.
- Do I need to register to attend?
Registration is encouraged, but not required. Walk-ins are welcome!
- Do I need to plan to attend JCCC to attend this event?
Not at all! Whether you plan to attend JCCC, another college or university, or are still exploring your options, you’re welcome at College Financing Night.
- What can I expect at the event?
You’ll have opportunities to learn about ways to pay for college and get help planning your next steps. You can get one-on-one FAFSA assistance, explore scholarships and other funding options, learn about JCCC’s Early College programs, and connect with admissions representatives from JCCC, K-State, KU, and UMKC.
- How is the event structured?
There will be a variety of sessions and opportunities throughout the evening. You’re welcome to attend the entire event or come and go based on what works for you. Attend every session or just the ones that are most helpful to you!
- Can I get help completing the FAFSA?
Yes! One-on-one FAFSA assistance will be available. If you need help getting started or have questions about the FAFSA, this is a great opportunity to get support.
- Will I be able to learn about scholarships?
Yes! You’ll have the opportunity to explore scholarships and other ways to help fund your college education.
- Will colleges and universities be represented?
Yes! Admissions representatives from JCCC, Kansas State University, the University of Kansas, and the University of Missouri-Kansas City will be available to connect with students and families.
- What time should I arrive?
Doors open at 4 p.m. for check-in, and the event begins at 4:30 p.m. The event runs until 7 p.m.
- Will food be provided?
Yes! Light snacks will be available for attendees.
- What should I wear?
Come comfortable! The event is casual, so there is no dress code.
- Is there a cost to attend?
No! College Financing Night is completely free and open to the community.
- Where do I park? Do I need a parking pass?
Parking is free on the JCCC campus. We'll email specific directions and parking recommendations the day before the event.
- What if I need an accommodation?
If you need an accommodation to fully participate in the event, please let us know by sending an email to finaid@jccc.edu at least 3 business days before your visit so we can do our best to accommodate your needs.
