Who is this event for?

JCCC Discovery Day: The Senior Takeover is exclusively for high school seniors.

Can I attend if I’m still exploring my college options?

Absolutely! Whether JCCC is your first choice, one of several options, or you’re still figuring out what’s next, you’re welcome to explore.

Can I bring my parents or family members?

Senior Takeover is designed to give you a chance to explore campus, interact with faculty and current students, and experience JCCC much like you will as a college student after graduation. This is your day to explore, ask questions, make connections, and see what life at JCCC could look like for you, so this is a student-only event.

Can two high school seniors attend together?

Absolutely! We encourage you to bring a friend. Each student must register separately so we have an accurate headcount and can make sure everyone has a spot.

What will I do at the event?

You’ll explore campus, discover programs and career options, connect with faculty and students, learn about clubs and organizations, and participate in interactive activities.

Will I get to tour campus?

Yes! You’ll participate in a campus resources tour led by current JCCC students.

Do I have to know what I want to study?

Not at all! Discovery Day is a great opportunity to explore your options—even if you have no idea what you want to study yet.

Will I get to meet other high school seniors?

Yes! You’ll spend the day with other students who are exploring what comes next.

What should I wear?

Wear something comfortable—you’ll be exploring campus and participating in activities throughout the day. We recommend comfortable shoes.

Do I need to bring anything?

Just bring yourself, your curiosity, and any questions you have about JCCC, degree programs, career paths, etc.!

Is food provided?

Yes! Lunch is provided.

Where do I park? Do I need a parking pass?

Parking is free on the JCCC campus. We'll email specific directions and parking recommendations the day before the event. 

We do recommend carpooling if you are attending with a friend. Parking is limited on campus while classes are in sessions. 

What if I need an accommodation?

If you need an accommodation to fully participate in the event, please let us know by sending an email to admissions@jccc.edu at least 3 business days before your visit so we can do our best to accommodate your needs.
